This Act regulates the control measures for export and import of goods in Thailand.

In particular refer to the following provisions concerning the enforcement of IPR, which is carried out by the Minister of Commerce and custom officials :
Under Section 5, the Minister of Commerce has powers to issue rules on any matters concerning the determination of trade names, sign, trade marks, origin for the goods to be exported or imported as well as the countries to or from which the goods are exported or imported
(Section 5.3) ; and the Certificate of origin for exported and imported goods (Section 5. 5)

Under Section 16 : custom officials have powers to exam goods and prevent smuggling, to make searches, seizures and forfeitures, and to arrest offenders who make false declarations.
