These Rules, issued pursuant to sections 41, 78 and 79 of the Trade Marks Act 1994 and section 123 of the Patents Act 1977, make amendments to the Trade Mark Rules 2008, the Trade Marks (Fees) Rules 2008, the Patents (Fees) Rules 2007.
The Rules are structured into 23 rules. In particular, rules 4 to 19 provide for the amendments to the 2008 Rules and the Trade Marks (Fees) Rules 2008 and set out the fees to be paid for applications for the registration of a trade mark.
