"The Regulations amended the Designs Regulations 2004, Olympic Insignia Protection Regulations 1993, Patents Regulations 1991, Trade Marks Regulations 1995 and Plant Breeder's Rights Regulations 1994 to take account of legislative changes made by the Intellectual Property Laws Amendment Act 2006 and the Trade Marks Amendment Act 2006 and to reflect changes to international arrangements and a wide-ranging review of the trade marks system."
