Law Concerning Patents for Inventions Solely Intended for the Sightless

(N° 962 of November 20, 1970)

  1. The grant and maintenance of patents and of industrial privileges concerning the invention and production respectively of any new creation intended, by reason of its nature, for the sole use of the blind, and all transactions relating thereto, shall be exempt from all taxes and fees.
  2. Before the patents are granted, the real use of the creations referred to in Section 1 shall be ascertained by the competent administration, which shall have heard the views of the Italian Union for the Blind.

destinées exclusivement aux aveugles

1. La délivrance et le maintien de brevets et de droits de propriété industrielle, accordés d’une part pour l’invention, et d’autre part pour la production, de découvertes destinées, par leur nature spécifique, à l’usage exclusif des aveugles, ainsi que tous les actes y relatifs, sont exempts de tous impôts et taxes.

2. L’utilité effective des découvertes visées à l’article premier est vérifiée, avant l’octroi du brevet, par l’administration compétente qui entendra l’Union italienne des aveugles.

La Camera dei deputati ed il Senato della Repubblica hanno

approvato;

IL PRESIDENTE DELLA REPUBBLICA

PROMULGA

la seguente legge:

Art. 1.

La concessione e la conservazione di brevetti e di privative

industriali rilasciati rispettivamente per l'invenzione e la

produzione di qualsiasi ritrovato destinato per sua specifica natura

all'uso esclusivo dei ciechi, nonche' tutti gli atti inerenti, sono

esenti da ogni imposta e tassa.

Art. 2.

L'effettiva utilita' dei ritrovati di cui al precedente articolo 1

viene accertata prima del rilascio dei brevetti dai competenti uffici

ministeriali, sentito il parere della Unione italiana ciechi.

La presente legge, munita del sigillo dello Stato, sara' inserta

nella Raccolta ufficiale delle leggi e dei decreti della Repubblica

italiana. E' fatto obbligo a chiunque spetti di osservarla e di farla

osservare come legge dello Stato.
