This version of 'Ordinance No. 11.986 of July 2, 1996, on Approval of the Directorate of Economic Expansion' incorporates all the amendments up to Ordinance No. 4.530 of October 30, 2013 (see Articles 1 and 2 of this version for the amendments).
According to Articles 2 and 3 of this version of Ordinance No. 11.986, the Directorate of Economic Expansion is created in the Department of Finance and Economics which replaces the Directorate of Trade, Industry and Intellectual Property.
This Directorate is organised with the service of 'Monaco Welcome & Business Office' or 'Front Office' and two functional competency centers composed of the Center of General Administration or 'Back Office' and the Center of Intellectual Property consisting of the Intellectual Property Division.
Among other things, the Directorate is responsible for issuing industrial property rights certificates and performs the relevant registrations in national records
