This consolidated version of the
Registered Designs Act 1949 (Chapter 88, updated up to April 18, 2018) incorporates all the amendments up to the the Crime and Courts Act 2013, which entered into force on the different dates.
Paragraph 21(2) of Schedule 9 of the said Act, which entered into force on October 1, 2013, introduces amendments to the following provisions of this consolidated version:
- Section 27(1)(a) is amended where the words 'court' is replaced by 'Court' after the word 'High';
- Section 27(A)(4) to(6) is repealed, relating to patents county court.
Please note that the amendments introduced by the Designs (International Registration of Industrial Designs) Order 2018, together with the other amendments, have not yet been incorporated into this consolidated version (see the table entitled 'Changes to legislation' at the end of the consolidated version).
