This consolidated version of Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 171-FZ of November 22, 1995 incorporates all the amendments up to 'Federal Law 433-FZ of December 28, 2017, on Amendments to Federal Law on State Regulation of Production and Circulation of Ethyl Alcohol and Alcohol Products and Restriction on Alcohol Consumption', which entered into force on December 29, 2017, except for certain provisions, which enter into force on different dates (January 1, 2018, July 1, 2018, and January 1, 2019), as provided by its Article 7.
This consolidated Federal Law establishes, inter alia, rules governing the production, distribution and importation of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products entitled to trademark protection and registered as protected geographical indication and protected designation of origin.
