Year of Version 2018 Dates Entry into force: October 1, 1879 Adopted: February 1, 1877 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes This consolidated version of the Code of Criminal Procedure incorporates all the amendments up to Act of October 30, 2017, on the New Rules Regarding the Protection of Secrets in Case of the Participation of Third Parties in the Exercise of Profession of Persons Subject to Duty of Secrecy, which entered into force on November 9, 2017, on the day following its publication in the Federal Law Gazette, except for Articles 5, paragraph 4 and Article 4, paragraph 1, in accordance with Article 11.

Article 2 of the said Act of October 30, 2017 introduces the following amendments to Part One of this consolidated version:
- Chapter VI, §53, paragraph 1, sentence 1 (reworded ), §53a (amended);
- Chapter VIII, §97, paragraph 2, sentence 2 (repealed), paragraphs 3 and 4 (amended); §160a, paragraph 1, sentence 1 and paragraph 2, sentence 4 (amended).

It should also be considered that the amendments introduced by Article 2 of the Act of July 5, 2017, on the Establishment of the Electronic File System in the Area of Justice and Further Promotion of Electronic Legal Transactions , which have already been incorporated into this consolidated version, entered into force on January 1, 2018.

Article 2 of the said Act of July 5, 2017 introduced the following amendments to this consolidated version:
(1) Amendments to § 32, § 41, § 41a, § 58a, § 114b, § 114d, § 118a, § 138d, § 145a, § 147, § 155b, § 168a, § 168b, § 229, § 232, § 234, § 244, § 249 to § 251 § 255a, § 256, § 266, § 268, § 273, § 275, § 314, § 323, § 325, § 329, § 341, § 350, § 378, § 381, § 385, § 387, § 404, § 406e, § 411, § 420, § 474 to § 477, § 482, § 489;
(2) Insertions of new articles § 32a to § 32f and § 496 to § 499.
