Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty) Amendment Regulations

2001 (SR 2001/357)

Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty) Amendment Regulations 2001: revoked, on 13 September 2014, pursuant to section 247(3) of the Patents Act 2013 (2013 No 68).

Pursuant to section 114 and 115 of the Patents Act 1953, Her Excel- lency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the con- sent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title (1) These regulations are the Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty)

Amendment Regulations 2001. (2) In these regulations, the Patents (Patent Cooperation Treaty)

Regulations 19921 are called “the principal regulations”.

2 Commencement These regulations come into force on 1 January 2002.

3 English translation of documents as required (1) Regulation 3(1) of the principal regulations is amended by

omitting the expression “subclauses (2) to (5)”, and substitut- ing the expression “subclauses (2) to (4)”.

(2) Regulation 3 of the principal Act is amended by revoking sub- clauses (4) and (5), and substituting the following subclause:

“(4) An application for extension of time must be made in writing.” Marie Shroff, Clerk of the Executive Council.

Explanatory note This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect. These regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2002, remove the fee for the filing of an extension of time under regulation 3, which relates to the translation of documents into English.
