Year of Version 2014 Dates Entry into force: April 2, 2002 Adopted: March 18, 2002 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Law incorporates amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 239-V of September 29, 2014, which came into force on October 13, 2014.
For the amendments introduced by the said Law No. 239-V, see Chapter 1, Article 3; Chapter 2, Articles 5, 9 and 14; Chapter 3, Articles 17 to 19, 21, 21-1 and 23 of the consolidated version.

The consolidated Law contains provisions relating to the functions of the Bodies of Justice in the implementation of state policies in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights (see Chapter 1, Article 3(7); Chapter 2, Article 6(3)(1); and Chapter 3, Articles 16(5), 21, 22-1 & 23(1)(8), (2)).
