The consolidated Code provides criminal liability for infringement of intellectual property rights (see General Part, Section 1, Article 3(2); Special Part, Chapter 6, Articles 198, 199; Chapter 8, Articles 222, 223).
This consolidated version of the Code incorporates amendments made by Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 248-V of November 7, 2014, which entered into force on January 1, 2015 (see General Part, Section 1, Article 3(23); and Special Part, Chapter 1, Article 99(7), (15); Chapter 8, Article 247; and Chapter 18, Articles 437 & 441).
