Year of Version 2014 Dates Entry into force: December 29, 2014 Adopted: December 20, 2014 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Domain Names, Other Notes Article 3(2)(6) of this Law indicates the protection of copyright and intellectual property rights on the Internet, as one of the main objectives of the Law.
Article 4(3) provides that this Law shall not regulate relations in respect of freedom of access to information, information protection and intellectual property protection, unless otherwise prescribed by this Law.
Article 30(4) provides that the internet users shall be held responsible for distribution, use, publication of IP-related materials through the Internet channels if there is no authorization, as prescribed by law of Turkmenistan.
