Year of Version 2012 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2011 Adopted: September 25, 2010 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes This consolidated version of Customs Code of Turkmenistan of September 25, 2010 incorporates all the amendments up to the Law No. 345-IV of October 19, 2012, on Amendments and Additions to Customs Code of Turkmenistan, which entered into force on November 2, 2012.

The Customs Code is divided into 6 sections: general provisions (Section I); border measures (Section II); customs levies (Section III); customs controls (Section IV); transfer of goods to the state ownership and customs statistics (Section V); and final provisions (Sections VI).

Chapter 37 of the Code provides for border measures and procedures related to the border enforcement of intellectual property rights.
