Year of Version 2012 Dates Entry into force: December 3, 2012 Adopted: December 3, 2012 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Other Notes The Order of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 687 of December 3, 2012, approves the Program for Capacity Building in Intellectual Property for the Period up to 2020 (hereinafter the “Program”).

The Program is divided into 7 chapters: Chapter 1 on Justification for Adoption of the Program; Chapter 2 on Purpose, Main Tasks and Manager of the Program; Chapter 3 on Main Direction of the Program Implementation; Chapter 4 on Performance Indicators to Monitor and Evaluate the Effectiveness of the Program Implementation; Chapter 5 on Financial Support for the Implementation of the Program; Chapter 6 on Management of the Program Implementation; and Chapter 7 on Expected Results.

Chapter 3 provides for the main direction of the program implementation, which includes support and promotion of innovative activities, and development of intellectual potential (§ 1); improvement of the regulatory and legal framework for intellectual property (IP) ( § 2); improvement, development and management of IP infrastructure for the protection of IP rights (§ 3); preventing offenses against IP (§ 4); improvement and development of educational system in the field of IP (§ 5); and international cooperation on development of IP system (§ 6).
