The Goods Infringing Intellectual Property Rights (Customs) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 ('the Regulations 2010'), issued pursuant to section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, amend the Goods Infringing Intellectual Property Rights (Customs) Regulations 2004 ('the Regulations 2004').
Regulation 2 (1) revokes regulations 3, 4(2), 8 and 9 of the 2004 Regulations in order to remove the link between them and the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979. Regulation 2(2) implements the Council Regulation (EC) No 1383/2003 and gives effect to its article 11.
