The Act No. XXXIII of 1995 on the Protection of Inventions by Patents gives effect to treaties and conventions on patents. It covers matters relating to application of the Patent Law Treaty (Article 53/E); deposit and access to a biological material in accordance with the Budapest Treaty (Article 63); European patents and European patent applications under the European Patent Convention, and international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty; information among the authorities of Contracting Parties about the matters concerning the submission, registration and cancellation of variety denominations (Article 114/H(3)), priority date and principle of reciprocity under the UPOV Convention (Article 114/L); convention priority (Article 61(1)(b),(9)), and conditions for, and the effect of, any priority claims (Article 84/V) under the Paris Convention.
