The Customs Act 1977 makes provisions for the collection of duties of Customs and the importation and exportation of goods. This Act has been amended by the Customs Amendment Act 2007 and the Customs Amendment Act 2010.
Part VIIIA of the Act, which has been inserted by the Customs Amendment Act 2010, specifically refers to the border protection measures for copyright and trademark goods.
Among others, Article 191(1) provides on the entry and search under Customs warrant for any goods unlawfully imported or any forfeited goods,
or any goods in respect of which any offence has been committed against the Customs Acts, or any books or other documents relating to any such goods.
Article 134 entrusts the power to the Head of State to make regulations and decisions relating to country of origin of goods.
