Paris Act (1971): Pursuant to Article I of the Appendix of the Paris Act, a notification was deposited on March 14, 1978, in which the Government of the Republic of the Niger declared that it availed itself of the faculties provided for in Article II and III of the said Appendix. The relevant declaration was effective until October 10, 1984.Stockholm Act (1967): A notification was deposited by the Government of the Republic of the Niger in which that Government indicated its desire to avail itself of the provisions of Article 38(2) of the Stockholm Act of the Berne Convention. This notification entered into force on the date of its receipt, that is, on June 26, 1970. Pursuant to the provisions of the said Article, the Republic of the Niger, which was a member of the Berne Union, could, for five years from April 26, 1970, the date of entry into force of the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), exercise the rights provided under Articles 22 to 26 of the Stockholm Act of the Berne Convention, as if it were bound by those Articles.
