Vienna Agreement Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks

Accession by Turkmenistan

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of Turkmenistan, on March 7, 2006, of its instrument of accession to the Vienna Agreement Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks, done at Vienna on June 12, 1973, as amended on October 1, 1985.

The said instrument of accession contains a declaration that pursuant to Article 16(2) of the Agreement, the Government of Turkmenistan does not consider itself bound by the provisions of paragraph 1 of Article 16 of the said Agreement.

The said Agreement will enter into force, with respect to Turkmenistan, on June 7, 2006.
