International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants
International Convention (1961) and Additional Act of November 10, 1972
Ratification by the Republic of Italy
The Secretary-General of the International Union for the, Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in conformity with the provisions of Article VIII, paragraph (6), of the above Additional Act, has the honor to inform him that, according to the notification received from the Government of the French Republic on June 24, 1977, the Government of the Republic of Italy deposited, on June 1, 1977, its instrument of ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, signed at Paris on December 2, 1961, and of the Additional Act of November 10, 1972, amending the said International Convention.
The Republic of Italy will belong to Class IV for the purpose of establishing its contribution towards the budget of UPOV.
The said International Convention and Additional Act entered into force, with respect to the Republic of Italy, thirty days after the deposit of its instrument of ratification, that is, on July 1, 1977.
