International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants

Declaration by the Czech Republic

The Secretary-General of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit, on January 12, 1993, by the Government of the Czech Republic, of the following declaration:

"The Government of the Czech Republic hereby declares that the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants of December 2, 1961, as revised at Geneva on November 10, 1972, and on October 23, 1978, continues to be applicable to the Czech Republic.

For the purpose of establishing the contribution towards the budget of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, the Czech Republic's number of contribution units will be one half of unit."
