International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants
Additional Act of November 10, 1972

Ratification by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The Secretary-General of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in conformity with the provisions of Article VIII, paragraph (6), of the above Additional Act, has the honor to inform him that, according to the notification received from the Government of the French Republic on September 29, 1980, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland deposited, on July 1, 1980, its instrument of ratification of the Additional Act of November 10, 1972, amending the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, signed at Paris on December 2, 1961.

The said Additional Act entered into force, with respect to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, thirty days after the deposit of is instrument of ratification, that is, on July 31, 1980.
