Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property

Accession of the Republic of Turkey to the Stockholm Act (with the exception of Articles 1 to 12)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Stockholm Act (1967) of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Republic of Turkey deposited, on February 12, 1976, its instrument of accession to the said Convention, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its accession shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the Stockholm Act of the said Convention with the exception of Articles 1 to 12 will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Turkey, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on May 16, 1976.
