Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property
Accession of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Stockholm Act (with the exception of Articles 1 to 12)
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Stockholm Act (1967) of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil deposited, on December 20, 1974, its instrument of accession to the said Convention, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its accession shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12 and that it does not consider itself bound by the provisions of paragraph (1) of Article 28.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the Stockholm Act of the said Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Federative Republic of Brazil, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on March 24, 1975.
