Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property

Accession by the Union of the Comoros

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Union of the Comoros, on January 3, 2005, of its instrument of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, and as amended on September 28, 1979 (Paris Convention).

The Paris Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Union of the Comoros, on April 3, 2005. On that date, the Union of the Comoros will become a member of the International Union for the Protection of Industrial Property ("Paris Union"), founded by the Paris Convention.
