Declaration by the Republic of Ghana
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments and has the honor to refer to the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Ghana, on November 3, 2021, of its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications (Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement), adopted at Geneva on May 20, 2015 (see Lisbon Notification No. 49).
In this respect, the Director General of WIPO has the honor to notify the deposit, by the Government of the Republic of Ghana, on July 29, 2022, of the following declaration:
- In accordance with Article 7(4) of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement, the Republic of Ghana wants to receive an individual fee to cover its costs of substantive examination of each international registration.
The said declaration will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Ghana, on October 29, 2022.
