Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Notification of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of a Change in Fees Charged by the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau (CAB), International Mycological Institute

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on April 3, 1989, of the notification of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, dated March 30, 1989, stating a change in the fees charged by the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau (CAB), International Mycological Institute, an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, as amended on September 26, 1980. The text of that notification is attached.

The fees set forth in the said notification will apply as from the thirtieth day following the date (May 31, 1989) of the publication of the said fees in the May 1989 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle, that is, as from June 30, 1989 (see Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty). The said fees will replace the fees as published in the March 1983 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle (see Budapest Notification No. 30 of February 16, 1983).

NOTIFICATION

I have the honor to refer to the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure opened for signature from 28 April to 31 December 1977, and to the communication dated 21 January 1983 from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland nominating the Culture Collection of the Commonwealth Mycological Institute (subsequently renamed the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau (CAB), International Mycological Institute) as an International Depository Authority.

In accordance with Rule 12.2 of the Regulations under the Treaty, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hereby notify you that the fees charged by the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau (CAB), International Mycological Institute, in regard to the items indicated, will be as follows:

Storage of each isolate £575.00
Issuance of viability statement £75.00
Furnishing of samples in accordance with Rule 11.2 or 11.3 £45.00
Delivering an attestation £15.00

The fees are subject to Valued Added Tax where applicable.
