As you are aware, the work plan for 2015 of the Hague Registry envisages the holding of a fifth session of the Working Group on the Legal Development of the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs. Circular C.N 3580 foresaw that this session would take place the week of December 14, 2015, and it is further proposed that, as per past practice, this session be held over three days, namely December 14 to 16, 2015.
2. The second and third sessions of the Working Group considered a proposal to amend Rule 5 of the Common Regulations, which concerns failure to meet a time limit. The Working Group will continue its discussion in the fifth session, taking into account the developments in the Working Groups on the Legal Development of the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), concerning a similar provision in the Madrid Common Regulations and PCT Regulations. |
