Fourth Session of the CWS: The CWS will continue the work of the third session with regard to the revision and development of WIPO Standards and to related matters in the field of industrial property information, including patent legal status information, standardization in the trademark domain and a proposal for a new WIPO standard on the presentation of nucleotide and amino acid sequence listings using eXtensible Markup Language (XML). This work will also include a proposal for the extension of the activities of the CWS to include copyright within the scope of WIPO Standard ST.96, as well as a plan for the maintenance and update of surveys published in the WIPO Handbook on Industrial Property Information and Documentation. In addition, the CWS will consider the decision of the 44th session of the WIPO General Assembly in relation to the CWS and a report, by the International Bureau, on the provision of technical advice and assistance. |
