The purpose of the Workshop is to provide senior policy makers, government officials, representatives from industry, Research and Development (R&D) institutes, the Universities, the business sectors and other IP stakeholders, an occasion to exchange views and share experiences for a better understanding of the various aspects of IP, its contribution to development and the importance of formulating a national IP Policy and Strategy.
It is proposed that this activity replaces the one planned for the Gambia in the 2014 Workplan due to the lack of response and readiness of Gambia to undertake this activity at this time. |
