Over the last 10 years, industrial design protection has been constantly on the rise. This is also reflected in an increased interest of Member States in industrial designs as manifested, for example, by three industrial design exhibitions organized by Member States at WIPO headquarters alone in 2013. SCT work on the draft Design Law Treaty is progressing and the Russian Federation has offered to host a diplomatic conference for the adoption of the DLT in Moscow in 2014. Moreover, the Russian Federation is currently preparing its accession to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement and the Delegation of the Russian Federation is actively participating in the Working Group on the Legal Development of the Hague system.
