The primary objective of the visit is to review the IP laws of Cambodia (Patent, Trademark, Industrial Design and Utility Model Laws) as to their conformity with the TRIPS Agreement. Moreover, Cambodia would like to discuss the newly drafted GI Law and Law on Layout Design of Integrated Circuits. Additionally, the proposed visit, if approved and time permitting, would enable the Cambodian officials to engage with the WIPO colleagues concerned other areas of importance for the country, namely accession to the Madrid Protocol and Hague Agreement (Geneva Act), deployment of IPAS upgrades, and the development of a plan of action for the National IP Strategy.
