.As you know, from its establishment, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center has organized each year an introductory Workshop for Mediators in Intellectual Property Disputes, designed to provide training in the techniques of mediation primarily for lawyers, business executives, and patent and trademark attorneys.
2.Following on from memorandum dated November 14, 2012 concerning the evolving financial feasibility and perceived interest in and utility of the Workshop, and a subsequent meeting on December 6, 2012 with colleagues Wichard, de Castro, and Rattray, it was decided that the WIPO Center would hold this event again in 2013, under the same conditions as in the past.
3. The Center hopes to achieve a good level of participation for this Workshop through active promotion activities.
