Informal Information Session for Participants in IGC 23 |

We refer to the approved memorandum of October 9, 2012 (see enclosed) on the arrangements for the Twenty-Third Session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resource, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC), addressing the subject of Traditional Cultural Expressions.
The attached memorandum proposes the holding of an Informal Information Session before the Twenty-Third Session of the IGC, as we have previously done for other sessions, including the Twenty-Second of the IGC and the three Intersessional Working Groups (IWGs).
As before, the session would be informal and open to all Geneva-based representatives of Member States.
Interpretation into and from English, French and Spanish would be provided. The Informal Information Session would be planned to allow for a brief discussion on the content of the main documents relating to Traditional Cultural Expressions as included in the session’s draft Agenda.
