The objectives, driven by Strategic Goal VI, are:
(i) building capacity, in the public interest, on the environmentally friendly destruction of IP infringing goods, including those containing hazardous substances;
(ii) strengthening collaboration between WIPO, UN ESCAP and UNEP pertaining to the disposal of environmentally harmful goods;
(iii) inducing cooperation and collaboration with the private sector to assist in developing environmentally friendly destruction, dismantling or recycling facilities for IP infringing goods;
(iv) maintaining environmental security and promoting sustainable development; and
(v) Developing a coherent strategy in the ASEAN region for the environmentally-sustainable disposal of IP infringing goods |
