In the framework of WIPO Strategic Goal VI, the objectives will be to:
(i) enhance the understanding of the role of IP awareness in socio-economic development; the consumer’s attitudes and motivations; as well as the role of businesses in balancing IP rights and interests;
(ii) provide stakeholders with the necessary information on how to develop and implement national awareness raising strategies with a view to curbing the demand for counterfeit goods; and
(iii) foster strategic cooperation between stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. |
