WIPO Training Program for Technological Capacity Building and the Establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) |

Following to the approved memorandum dated October 31, 2011 (attached) with reference to above mentioned mission and to the restructuring in the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) they requested for a postponement of the mission (see attached letter).
Mr. Bemanya Twebaze was appointed as the new Registrar General for URSB in March 2012 and the officials have communicated their readiness to receive the mission and proposed the dates of August 7 and 8, 2012. Following consultations with URSB it is now proposed to undertake a two days Training Program on Technological Capacity Building and to launch the Centre which is to be located in the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) in Kampala.
