2. The LES Pan-European Conference is a prestigious event and the proposed panel speakers are well-known international specialists in design law. In accepting this invitation and chairing the panel, WIPO can assert its position as a leading institution in IP and, at the same time, reach out to users of the design system. The latter point is also of importance with reference to the ongoig work on industrial design law and practice in the SCT, which has a potential direct impact on the private sector. |
