In line with ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Action Plan 2011-2015, accession to the Hague Agreement by at least seven ASEAN member States is foreseen by 2015. The meeting with the staff of the Office of Industrial Design would provide an oppertunity to establish contacts with the stakeholders in Cambodia, which in the future would facilitate the accession of this country to the Hague Agreement in terms of aligning the procedures before the Office with the requirements under the 1999 Act of the Hague Agreement.
