Following the launching of the above mentioned project, in Lusaka, in August 2011, progress has been made in accordance with the timeline envisaged in the approved project document. Identification of two problems areas and search for appropriate technology in patent and relevant databases have been completed. The technical landscape report is being prepared on the appropriate technology based on the search report. A draft framework for the technical landscape report has been prepared by the International Expert of the project who is currently coordinating with WIPO and the National Expert of Zambia for completing the draft report. The National Expert is working on the preparation of the business plan (prototype) for the implementation of the selected appropriate technology. |
