As part of our tailored promotion strategy, the organization of a study visit regarding the Geneva (1999) Act for delegates from some countries or international intergovernmental organizations is foreseen this year and it could help us in our plan to terminate the 1934 Act and focus the system solely around the Geneva (1999) Act. As you are aware, the Hague Union comprises some inactive members that remain bound exclusively by the 1934 Act and/or the 1960 Act.
The proposed study visits will take place in connection with the Ad hoc Working Group on the Legal Development of the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, from May 30 to June 1, 2011.
