Reference is made to the approved memo (attached) for the above mentioned mission: “Development of a National Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy for Tanzania".
Mrs Nyerere and I are currently in Dar es Salaam to discuss the requirements for the national IP strategy development with the relevant authorities and stakeholders. It has been noted that in order for the strategy to be inclusive of the needs of the entire country, which includes mainland Tanzania and the island of Zanzibar, discussions should also be held with the relevant counterparts in Zanzibar.
