During the 49th WIPO General Assemblies, discussions on this and other matters were held with the delegation of Malawi, these were followed by further consultations on the need to revive the current IP policy process and devise an appropriate framework to meet the targeted objectives, i.e. instituting an effective IP system in Malawi.
