| Description: |
(i) To act as WIPO’s liaison and information resource on emerging issues for the governments, intellectual property offices (IPOs), and other relevant institutions in the region;
(ii) to propose a plan relating to the coordination of regional outreach activities and implementation based on consultations with the Bureau;
(iii) to provide assistance to the IPOs which are covered by the Cooperation Agreement, in particular supporting the process of modernization of IPOs infrastructure and capacity building, through appropriate recommendations and advice, with a view to strengthening cohesion and an harmonized regional IP system;
