Following the request from the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania for the establishment of a Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC), it is proposed to up grade TIPASIC to a Center, thus widening its scope of cooperation between the public and private sector to include inter alia Ministries of Education, Industry, Commerce and Marketing, Agriculture, Health, Mining as well as other Institutions of excellence such as Universities, Research and Development Institutions (R&Ds), Chambers of Commerce and other relevant IP users and stakeholders.
