| Description: |
i)To provide policy makers and technology managers of universities and R&D institutions in ESCWA Members Countries with an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities in establishing viable technology transfer systems in their countries;
(ii)To better understand the importance of IP and technology management in their institutions in the process of creation, protection and exploitation of their research results as well as the issues of developing institutional IP policies;
(iii)To identify the best practices to strengthen the national technology transfer systems;
(iv)To discuss the strategic use of IP rights in the process of technology transfer and commercialization; and
(v)To network among high level officials from the universities and R&D institutions on the matters of IP and technology management within the ESCWA Members. |
