Title: I. Sub-Regional Meeting for TM Experts to Establish Collaboration Mechanisms in the Administration of the Trademark System of Central American Countries and the Dominican Republic; and II. National Workshop on the Use of Distinctive Signs
Description: The main purpose of this Sub-Regional Meeting would be to adopt and establish guidelines for the implementation of the Manual on Trademark Examination for Central American Countries, Panama and the Dominican Republic in each country, as well as to analyze and establish future collaboration actions in the context of continuing the harmonization process in the sub region. In this context, the international systems for the protection of distinctive signs and their advantages, as well as the work of WIPO to support harmonization and access to information of brands, will be analyzed.
To organize an additional one-day National Workshop aimed at promoting the importance of the trademarks system as a tool to improve business competitiveness, aimed at representatives of national productive sectors and entities for the support and development of SMEs, as well as the importance of the international registration system (it will be held on the third day)
