The annual expenditure for Chinese to English (ZH-EN) translation is approximately 5.5 million CHF per year and the PCT has seen an increase in filings in this combination in the region of 20% in 2016 alone. To ensure the necessary translation capacity to meet this growing need, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was launched in 2016 resulting in the selection of seven translation agencies.
Of the seven selected agencies, three are incumbent agencies with their operations in China and three of the four new agencies are located in Beijing. |
