The objectives will be to present current trends relating to the protection of non-traditional marks (both visible and non-visible) and discuss the challenges posed by these applications upon examination, publication, search for prior rights, and possible future enforcement. The Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks (2006) will be analyzed in the context of representation requirements of NTM applications, and technical issues relating to the handling of these marks will be dealt with in detail. |
