The objectives of the Meeting, driven by Strategic Goal VI, Expected Result VI.2 “Systematic, effective and transparent cooperation and coordination between the work of WIPO and other international organizations in the field of building respect for IP” and DA Recommendation 45, are, in relation to building respect for IP:
(i) to better understand of the work undertaken by IGOs;
(ii) to strengthen the collaboration between WIPO and other IGOs and work towards building strategic collaborative partnerships and joint building respect for IP activities;
(iii) to contribute to international policy cohesion and maximum impact through shared resources; and
(iv) to reaffirm WIPO’s leadership role in building strategic cooperation on IP issues and ensure further integration of Strategic Goal VI in joint collaborations. |
